Nanjing, China — October 23, 2026.** Nanjing Liju Precision Forging Co., Ltd., a 27-year-old precision forging partner serving automotive, railway and heavy-equipment OEMs across Europe and North America, today confirmed construction is underway on a new production campus in Xuancheng, Anhui Province. The 50-mu (approximately 33,000 m²) facility will add ten new forging lines on top of Liju's existing ten lines in Nanjing, more than doubling the company's hot-forging capacity.

Why Now: Demand Signal From European and North American Programs

The expansion is a direct response to two shifts our engineering and sales teams have watched intensify through 2025 and 2026.
First, European and North American OEMs are accelerating qualification of Chinese forging partners for next-generation chassis, transmission and brake programs. Tariff uncertainty, export-tax changes and supply-chain resilience mandates have not moved the sourcing pendulum back toward European production — if anything, they have made reliable Chinese partners more valuable, provided those partners can offer regional inventory, auditable quality systems and predictable capacity.
Second, electrified platforms are changing the part mix. EV and hybrid programs demand higher-integrity suspension and steering forgings, e-axle and transmission components, and heavier-duty brake-system parts for heavier vehicles. These are not parts that a general hammer shop can produce — they demand the same close-die process control, in-house heat treatment and CMM metrology that Liju has run for European customers since the late 1990s.
"Our customers are not looking for the cheapest forging on the market," said an engineering spokesperson. "They are looking for a partner that can absorb a 30% volume ramp in 18 months without a single escape, and that can ship finished parts from our German and U.S. warehouses when a line-down event happens at their plant. The Xuancheng plant exists to serve exactly that need."

What the New Plant Adds

When the Xuancheng campus comes online, Liju will operate:
Twenty hot-forging lines total, built around high-energy presses in the 400-ton to 1,000-ton class
Cold-forging and heading cells alongside hot-forging, on the same quality system
Integrated CNC machining — turning, milling and broaching — inside the forging plant boundary, not in a separate subcontractor
A dedicated metrology and lab wing with CMM, spectrometer, tensile testing, metallographic analysis, hardness and roughness inspection
IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification carried over from the Nanjing operation, with the same process-audit readiness European rail and automotive customers expect

Continuity, Not Disruption

Existing customer programs will continue to be built in Nanjing. The Xuancheng site is dedicated to:
New program tooling won in 2026 and 2027 sourcing cycles
Volume ramps on existing European and North American accounts
A dedicated rail and commercial-vehicle brake forging cell, aligned with the quality expectations of braking-system leaders such as Knorr-Bremse
Liju will continue to operate its overseas warehouses in Germany and the United States, stocking more than 200 finished-part numbers for short-notice replenishment.

For Customers Qualifying New Partners

If your team is currently evaluating precision forging suppliers for 2027–2029 programs, the Xuancheng expansion means two concrete things for you:
Capacity security. You no longer have to split a program between two Chinese suppliers to de-risk volume. One audited partner, two plants, twenty lines.
DFM continuity. The same engineering team that has supported Knorr-Bremse, Edscha, Witte, AL-KO, Emerson and North American Tier-1s for two decades will own your tooling — only now with more press hours behind it.
We will begin accepting tooling inquiries for Xuancheng capacity from Q1 2027. If you would like a DFM review on current drawings — including feasibility, tooling lead time and indicative pricing — our engineering team responds within 48 hours.
